If Shanghai Bank Speaks Malay

"Saw this ad in Taiwan."

They even got a video clip for it.

It is just so wrong on so many levels naming your company's toy mascot after a favourite word Ah Bengs use to scold people. I wanna try to make a joke out of it, but I think I'll just take the classy road and stay quiet.

I only have one question though.

If the name of that little pig is called PUKI, does that mean his mother is called PUKIMA?

Sony's New Colourful Cyber-shot T2 Digital Camera

Sony’s latest Cyber-shot T2 has an internal memory capacity of 4GB and a large 2.7” LCD screen to share photos, available in five different colours.
The latest addition to the Cyber-shot T series is the new Cyber-shot T2, available in five funky colours of black, blue, green, pink and white. With a generous built-in memory capacity of 4GB, the new 8.1 mega-pixel Cyber-shot T2 stores more than 40,000 photos without any memory expansion. This means photos of many occasions can be saved in the camera without transferring them to the PC. On the other hand, photos that are stored in the PC can be transferred to the Cyber-shot T2 to bring along and to share with friends, just like a digital photo album. Bundled with the easy-to-use Sharemark software, one can easily upload photos to popular sites like Blogger and YouTube once the camera is connected to a PC online. The Cyber-shot T2 also offers a scrapbook function to create themes and frames on photos for fun sharing. With the PhotoTV HD feature, the Cyber-shot T2 allows high-definition photos to be viewed in more details on full HD and HD-ready televisions.

Sony Ericsson Releases New Cybershot & Walkman Phones

Sony Ericsson has announces that its latest Walkman and Cyber-shot phones, the W910 and the K850, will be available in stores across selected markets from this month. Both new phones boast Turbo-3G speeds (HSDPA) for fast download of music and other content and come packed with unique features.
The W910 Walkman phone is designed for entertainment; whether music, 3D games, video, or high-speed Web access. It’s also geared to let you choose your music, your way. Select Shake control and just flick the phone to control games or skip and shuffle between music tracks. Or opt for SensMe and discover music to match your mood and tempo.

The K850 Cyber-shot on the other hand is a phone equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, Xenon flash and Video Light that together help produce true digital camera results. Photo Fix automatically improves light balance in one click to make your picture as good as it can get. When taking a picture of a moving object, for example at a sports event, you can select BestPic and take nine pictures in one burst. Then simply choose the best and delete the rest.

Next destination - Taiwan ~ Our honeymoon

Area :36,000 square kilometers
Population: 23 million
Capital : Taipei City
Language : Mandarin/Taiwanese/Hakka/Indigenous Languages
Religion : Buddhism/Taoism/Christian/Islam/Catholicism

Taiwan's total land area is only about 3,6000 square kilometers; it is shaped like a tobacco leaf that is narrow at both ends. It lies off the southeastern coast of mainland Asia, across the Taiwan Straits from Mainland China-- a solitary island on the western edge of the Pacific Ocean. To the north lies Japan and Okinawa, to the south is the Philippines. Many airlines fly to Taiwan, helping make it the perfect travel destination.
Taiwan lies on the western edge of the Pacific "rim of fire," and continuous tectonic movements have created majestic peaks, rolling hills and plains, basins, coastlines, and other wonders. Taiwan sees climates of many types: tropical, sub-tropical, and temperate, providing clear differentiation between the different seasons. There are about 18,400 species of wildlife on the island, with more than 20% belonging to rare or endangered species; among these are the land-locked salmon, Taiwan mountain goat, Formosan rock monkey, Formosan black bear, blue magpie, Mikado pheasant, Hsuehshan grass lizard, and many more.
The government has established 6 national parks and 13 national scenic areas to preserve Taiwan's best natural ecological environment and cultural sites. Take in the splendor and sheer heights of the cliffs at Taroko Gorge; take a ride on the Alishan train--one of only three mountain railways in the world--and experience the breathtaking sunset and sea of clouds; hike up to the summit of Northeast Asia's highest peak, Jade Mountain. You can also soak up the sun in Kending, Asia's version of Hawaii; stand at the edge of Sun Moon Lake; traipse through the East Rift Valley; or visit the offshore islands of Kinmen and Penghu. It's fun in capital letters as well as an awesome journey of natural discovery!
The cultural aspects also not to be missed. The blending of Hakka, Taiwanese, and mainland Chinese cultures has produced a rich plethora of cultural and social color. Whether it is religion, architecture, language, living habits, or food, it's just one big exciting melting pot! Food is the best representative of this cultural mixing and matching. Aside from cuisines from different parts of the mainland such as Zhejiang, Hunan, Guangdong, Yunnan, Shanghai, Beijing, Sichuan, and others, there is also the local Taiwanese cuisine as well as the local delicacies of each area.

5 days and counting...

The last i could recall it was weeks or even months until our wedding... but now it's only 5 days left. Time flies. The biggest day of my life up to this point of time. In my heart, I'm excited. In my mind, I'm nervous. Who wouldn't, right? I'm just speechless.

Life is like a glass of whisky

Neat... on the rock... with coke? I guess people changes. Now whisky is more enjoyable by all generations, not limited to middle age group who used to drink it neat or on the rock. Majority are drinking it with coke or the latest I heard, green tea. It is nice.. I tried it many times before. After glasses of whisky, including shots... have you ever told someone who mixed it with skyjuice, coke or green tea "It took them 12 years to take the water out from it, but it only takes you few seconds to add in the water"? I've seen many types of whisky on the market. Some are just a smart marketing strategies, some are very useful information to hardcore drinkers out there. Single malt, small batch, single barrel... the list goes on. I having one glass of whisky right now and it tastes real good. Why? Cause I mixed it with coke :-P Whatever it is, go and have a glass of whisky... life still goes on although you can never get the same mix that you had in the past.

Linkin Park - Bleed It Out

Yea here we go for the hundredth time,
Hand grenade pins in every line,
Throw 'em up and let something shine.
Going out of my fucking mind.
Filthy mouth, no excuse.
Find a new place to hang this noose.
String me up from atop these roofs.
Knot it tight so I won't get loose.
Truth is you can stop and stare,
Run myself out and no one cares.
Dug a trench out, laid down there
With a shovel up out to reach somewhere.
Yea someone pour it in,
Make it a dirt dance floor again.
Say your prayers and stomp it out,
When they bring that chorus in.

I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away.

I bleed it out.
Go, stop the show.
Chop your words in a sloppy flow.
Shotgun I pump, lock and load,
Cock it back and then watch it go.
Mama help me, I've been cursed,
Death is rolling in every verse.
Candypaint on his brand new hearse.
Can't contain him, he knows he works.
I hope this hurts, I won't mind.
Doesn't matter how hard I try.

Half the words don't mean a thing,
And I know that I won't be satisfied.
So why, try ignoring him.
Make your dirt dance floor again.
Say your prayers and stomp it out,
When they bring that chorus in.

I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away.

I bleed it out.
I've opened up these skies,
I'll make you face this.
I pulled myself so far,
I'll make you face this now.

I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away.

I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away.
I bleed it out,
Digging deeper just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away,
Just to throw it away.

I bleed it out.

House Map

Microsoft never stops at introducing new version of their popular Office. Right here is the Office Excel 2007. Pretty cool, huh? What I can do with it? Manage to draw a map from Summit, USJ to my home with it and it sure looks damn farking good too compare to previous release version of Office.
Mind you... I'm not promoting Office 2007 here. I'm just damn blardy satisfied with what it can do. Yea... just glad I didn't waste 2 hours of electricity charges while waiting for it to cook up a brand new recipe on my PC.

Is Tuesday a Happy Hour day ?

Fancy a "Stella Artois" ? Whatever that means... it sure tastes good for imported lager. Cheers! Today is a good day I suppose but it is not. It's could be worse but hey, who am I to complain... I'm just another slave @ dot.com. Everything suppose to be alrite but it is not. Everything suppose to be in place but it's everywhere but the place it suppose to be.
One thing for sure... listening to Linkin Park latest album "Minutes to Midnight" isn't helping the whole situation at all.
One thing never fails to set the mood right... a pint of Guinness. Whoa... I'm not blogging this at a bar @ Laundry (tho' I wish 2 someday). That reminds me... I was at Laundry the other day with my colleague. Something caught my attention at 3 o'clock. I turned my head slowly and there it was.. an OL* was sitting at the bar while her finger was lingering all over that smooth silky like surface while chatting with her friend and sipping her beer. Sometimes she would just giving it a little massage by tapping her fingertips on the larger matte surface. Her friend was obviously busy starring with full interest on what was the outcome of the OL* actions.
I guess that's what busy people like OL* & her friend would do, even at a bar like Laundry. What the heck... it's dinner time. It's not even dark yet. In the end... it's alrite I guess.
As for me, I'm busy poking on my soft touchy sexy companion, dressed in black... my O2 Atom.

* Office Lady (mind u, it only applies to any lady between 21 to 35... well, it depends on how young she looks at her age)

what's the story, midnite glory...

Darling, so there you are
With that look on your face
As if you're never hurt
As if you're never down
Shall I be the one for you
Who pinches you softly but sure
If frown is shown then
I will know that you are no dreamer

So let me come to you
Close as I wanted to be
Close enough for me
To feel your heart beating fast
And stay there as I whisper

How I loved your peaceful eyes on me
did you ever know
That I had mine on you

Darling, so share with me
Your love if you have enough
Your tears if your're holding back
Or pain if that's what it is
How can I let you know
I'm more than the dress and the voice
Just reach me out then
You will know that you're not dreaming

Mid-life Crisis + Food + Dead Crow + Heineken + a pile of poopoo

Mid-Life Crisis? Maybe, maybe not. Who cares anymore. Life can be beautiful if you just let it be. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. It's a strange feeling lately... I had a vision of hundred... thousands of crow just drop dead from the sky. Not sure what it means but if crow suppose to bring bad luck and it just fell dead from the sky... does it means the bad luck is gone? dead? no more hovering over me or anyone else? Bird flu? Argh.... so much for epidemic disease.

Ok.. ok... back to life........................ [I know I like to use a lot of . but I just can't help it. It's so round & beautiful :) Hehehe ]

Enjoy life as it is... Spice it up a little bit with salt & pepper. I even like it spicy. The hotter the better :) Hmm, am I talking about food now? Guess I should stop before I go beyond the "U" turn. If you want to know what I think... Enjoy it while it's hot. Spicy food taste best when it's sizzling hot. Then quench ur thirst with iced cold heineken. It gotta be heineken coz it's smooth. I like it smooth.

10 things in golf that sound simply..well dirty ..lolz

1- Look at the size of his putter.

2- Oh, dang, my shaft's all bent.

3- You really whacked the hell out of that sucker.

4- After 18 holes I can barely walk.

5- My hands are so sweaty I can't get a good grip.

6- Lift your head and spread your legs.

7- You have a nice stroke, but your follow through leaves a lot to be desired.

8- Just turn your back and drop it.

9- Hold up. I've got to wash my balls.

10- Damn, I missed the hole again.

If you think you're in deep shit.. think again

Life is not fair... I know. U know. So why do we still take things for granted? Why do we still put our hopes so high even when we have fell down multiple times before? Don't we ever learn from our mistakes? Do we just forget about the past without gaining some painful humiliating experience, just so that we will remember the road we took to get where we are today? When you lie down by the roadside after an accident, do passerby offer a helping hand or do they take advantage of the situation? Imagine your diamond studded gold watch, your wallet full of crisp hundred dollar bills or your precious platinum ring.

Ok... to make things easier to understand. Just look at the pic ;-)

Dixie Chicks - Not Ready To Make Nice

Forgive, sounds good.
Forget, I'm not sure I could.
They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

I'm through, with doubt,
There's nothing left for me to figure out,
I've paid a price, and i'll keep paying

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

I know you said
Why can't you just get over it,
It turned my whole world around
and i kind of like it

I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby,
With no regrets and I don't mind saying,
It's a sad sad story
That a mother will teach her daughter
that she ought to hate a perfect stranger.
And how in the world
Can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Saying that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

I'm not ready to make nice,
I'm not ready to back down,
I'm still mad as hell
And I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell
Can't bring myself to do what it is
You think I should

Forgive, sounds good.
Forget, I'm not sure I could.
They say time heals everything,
But I'm still waiting

I speak with beauty

Kukatakan dengan indah
Dengan terbuka
Hatiku hampa
Sepertinya luka
Menghampirinya

Kau beri rasa
Yang berbeda
Mungkin kusalah
Mengartikannya
Yang kurasa cinta

Tetapi hatiku
Selalu meninggikanmu
Terlalu meninggikanmu
Selalu meninggikanmu

Kau hancurkan hatiku
Hancurkan lagi
Kau hancurkan hatiku
Tuk melihatmu

Kau terangi jiwaku
Kau redupkan lagih
Kau hancurkan hatiku
Tuk melihatmu

Membuatku terjatuh
Dan terjatuh lagi

Membuatku merasakan
Yang tlah terjadi
Semua yang terbaik
Dan terlewati
Semua yang terhenti
Tanpa kuakhiri

When it's time to let go.. just let it go.. and never regret

Saatnya ku berkata mungkin yang terakhir kalinya
Sudahlah lepaskan semua kuyakin inilah waktunya
Mungkin saja kau bukan yang dulu lagi
Mungkin saja rasa itu telah pergi

Dan mungkin bila nanti kita kan bertemu lagi
Satu pintaku jangan kau coba tanyakan kembali

Satu pintaku jangan kau coba tanyakan kembali
Rasa yang kutinggal mati
Seperti hari kemarin saat semua disini

Tak usah kau tanyakan lagi simpan untukmu sendiri
Semua sesal yang kau cari semua rasa yang kau beri

Uncovering the truth...

As I was recovering from a mild headache after few rounds of guinness and single malt the night before, I begin to wonder about the definition of "mid-life crisis" from my previous post. Could it just be an excuse for someone who's tired of living everyday life as a routine and wanted to take a break . What is the best excuse can you come up with when out of a sudden, you feel like
1.buying an expensive watch
2. change car, change job
3. frequent visit to your favorite bar
4. being childish

Yes! Blame it on mid-life crisis. Isn't life wonderful when you reach 30s? Especially mid to late 30s? :D

This is the first chapter of uncovering the truth... (maybe)

p/s - seriously guys, don't drink and drive if u can. Just saw a horrible accident as I was driving back home from Laundry around 2AM after mamak. So morale of the story is... don't drink and drive, if you have to drive, drop by your local mamak store for some maggi goreng and teh O ais limau to freshen up before you head home.

Single Malt

Been there...done that...
Next to come...

Mid-life crisis ?

What the hell is mid-life crisis?

A mid-life crisis is an emotional state of doubt and anxiety in which a person becomes uncomfortable with the realization that life is halfway over. It commonly involves reflection on what the individual has done with his or her life up to that point, often with feelings that not enough was accomplished. The individuals experiencing such may feel boredom with their lives, jobs, or their partners, and may feel a strong desire to make changes in these areas. The condition is also called the beginning of individuation, a process of self-actualization that continues on to death. The condition is most common ranging from the ages of 35-50, and affects men and women differently. Mid life crises last about 3-10 years in men and 2-5 years in women, but length may vary in some people.

During middle age, many changing factors can affect personality development. These factors include:
work/career
marriage/spousal relationships
adult children
aging parents/death of parents
physical changes associated with aging
There is some question whether a "mid-life crisis" is any different from "a crisis occurring in mid-life." One study found that only 23% of participants had what they called a "mid-life crisis," but in digging deeper, only 8% of the total said the crisis was associated with realizations about aging. The balance (15%) had major life experiences or transitions (divorce, loss of a job, etc.) in middle age, but they could have happened at any other stage of life. The same research found that the average age at onset of a self-described "mid-life crisis" was 46.

Other research proposes that triggers for mid-life crisis differ between men and women, with male mid-life crisis more likely to be caused by work issues.

Characteristics
Certain characteristics displayed by individuals experiencing a mid-life crisis often include but are not limited to:
search of an undefined dream or goal
desire to achieve a feeling of youthfulness
acquiring of unusual or expensive items such as clothing, muscle cars, jewellery, gadgets, etc.
paying extra special attention to physical appearance
need to spend more time alone or with certain peers
a deep sense of remorse for goals not accomplished
an underlying desire to initiate new sexual partnerships

How to be a good wife...

Scan of an article from Housekeeping Magazine on how to be a good wife. Ladies, do take note.

Love is friendship set on fire

When you set something on fire, it will burn. It will keep burning till it can't burn anymore... till everything has turn into a black chunk or ashes. This can't be reversed. It can't be undone. What's done is done. A friendship will never be friendship again once you set it on fire. It felt good for a short while but things will eventually fades away. Sometimes it’s unintentional to start the fire in a friendship. It’s unintentional to fall in love with someone in your circle of friends. Who are we to control the fire of love created by the far more superior beings, with one sole purpose… for us to control it or to let it burn our friendship to ashes and let the ashes be blown away by the wind. What’s lost can never be found. What’s burnt will leave a scar for life.

As a wise man always says, “Don’t play with fire if you don’t want to get burn”.

"Its hard to love someone who loves someone else. You have to ignore the pain and swallow your pride just to be a friend. But somehow in the end, its all worth it cause friendship lasts longer than love"

Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant's Eat All You Can

The Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant's Eat All You Can (EAC) is Back Again!!!

With over 100 dishes to choose from!!

Alcatraz ER - Japanese Prison theme Restaurant

A truly bizarre novelty restaurant, “Alcatraz ER” is labeled the “Shibuya Medical Prison.” The owners must have been indecisive when picking the concept- I can’t tell if it’s meant to be a prison, a hospital, or a medieval dungeon. But who cares? This just adds to the eccentric appeal, as far as I’m concerned.
Upon arrival, you have to state your blood-type to enter (I don’t know mine, which made things confusing.) You are then handcuffed by girls in nurse-outfits (mmm, kinky!) who lead you to your “cell”- a dingy room which resembles a medieval dungeon.

Cocktails with names like “Influenza” and Acute Mental Stabilizer” are served in test tubes, or you can even drink from a hospital drip. Meals are delivered in those metal dishes surgeons use during operations. The food isn’t so tasty but presumably it’s better than actual prison food.
Dinner is occasionally interrupted to an escaped lunatic in a Jason mask, who runs around the place, terrorizing customers, (but stops short of bum-raping men in the toilets.)
While I was there, an unsuspecting birthday girl on another table was thrown the over the knee of a maniacal doctor, who prodded her arse with a giant syringe while she squealed. I’m sure you can tell it’s a very classy establishment!
The food and drinks in this place ain’t cheap, but it’s worth a trip just for the novelty value.

World's Most Expensive Restaurant

How much are you prepared to pay for the perfect steak? A beefsteak restaurant in Tokyo has been chosen as the world's most expensive restaurant for the second year in a row. The average steak dinner and bottle of house wine there can set you back as much as 500 US dollars.

Aragawa is a little steakhouse that serves Sanda beef, a type of Kobe beef, which can only be found in the Hyogo Prefecture in western Japan.

A dish of beefsteak starts at more than 400 US dollars. Together with hors d'oeuvre and wine, the average cost per person costs about 550 US dollars.

Rather than the usual ways of serving steak--rare, medium, and well done--the chef offers ten choices.
